Collect payment in the field
Record a cash, check, or card payment right from the job page — assigned techs can do it too.
Updated Jul 30, 2026
You shouldn't need the office to get paid at the door. The Take Payment button on a job page works for owners, admins, and the assigned technician, from any phone.
- 1Open the job and tap Take Payment. FieldOps shows the amount due, pulled from the job's open invoice — or it creates the invoice for you if there isn't one yet.
- 2Pick Cash, Check, or Card.
- 3Cash and check are recorded instantly. Card opens a secure Stripe checkout the customer completes on the spot.
- 4The payment attaches to the invoice, the balance updates, and paid invoices can send a receipt email.
Techs can take payment even when job pricing is hidden from them — the amount due is shown at collection time only. That's the one sanctioned exception to the pricing-visibility setting.
